Whatsapp Tip: How to check that a message has been received and read?

The coloured check mark system used in WhatsApp allows you to know when a message is received, and when it is read. But it is possible to go further by displaying the precise times of reception and reading.
Long press one of your messages to display the options and go to the Info menu. You will then see the time of delivery and the time of playback.
